Shifts Available: 40 Hour week, shifts could vary
Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Meal Preparation: Prepare a wide variety of menu items for residents, ensuring meals are nutritious and cater to special dietary needs as required.
Food Safety compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment, following all sanitation guidelines.
Menu Planning: Collaborate with dietary staff to plan and execute menus that meet residents' preferences and nutritional requirements.
Kitchen Maintenance: Keep all kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized, ensuring proper food handling and storage practices.
Resident Interaction: Engage with residents to understand their dietary preferences and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Culinary school education is a plus/Serv Safe or willing to take course
Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in a cooking environment, preferably in assisted living or healthcare setting.
Skills: Strong cooking skills, knowledge of food safety practices, and the ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines are essential.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and other basic movements for duration of shift
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
